The Hickox Equestrian Beliefs

Hickox Equestrian was founded on the idea that quality horse care should not be hard to find and expensive. That each horse deserves its own feed plan, its own individualized training plan, and its own space to grow to become the best it can. Just like a horse, a rider needs their own plan to grow, learn, and become the best rider you can for your horse to get the best results possible. Whether your goal is NAJYRC or to make it around the cross-rails at an NTHJC show, we're here to help.

Our Plan for You

Using our belief that every horse and rider is an individual combination, we will create the best atmosphere for you and your high-performance partner. Upon arrival your horse will get its own feed plan on its own schedule with the best feed for them. We will asses the skill of both the rider and horse and make a plan with the rider that they're comfortable with.

Who Are We?

Hickox Equestrian Stables is located in Rowlett, Texas. The Donnelly's obtained the 10 acre property in November of 2017 and started work to transform the stables and arenas from a backyard riding space to a well maintained boarding and training facility. Fiona, our head trainer has been riding for 12 years and working with young difficult horses for the last 5 years. She has taken thoroughbreds off the track and made them into high-performance hunter/jumpers. She works with horses from foals to retirement age, helping each horse find their path and their forever home.

Our Facility

Our facility is made up of two barns with 14 stalls split between 8 and 6 stall barns. The first 8 stalls are 12 x 12 with wood and rail walls, custom design moisture absorbing flooring, and an attached covered run that the horses have access to at all times when in the stall. We have a brand new indoor ring measuring 90 x 180 with top of the line footing and an outdoor ring measuring 300 x 160, both with lights for riding in all conditions.
